Our set of practice tests currently stand as the most up-to-date books for preparing students for the California Science Test (CAST). The NGSS standards are adopted by 26 of the 50 states with an emphasis on teaching science 3-Dimensionally through the DCI’s, the SEP’s and the CCC’s. These books are tailored to prepare students for California’s CAST.

The questions closely model the rigor of the Smarter Balanced practice test found at the CAASPP.org portal. The difference between our practice test and the ones on the portal is that our test allows for teachers to know how individual questions line up with the specific standards being tested. Our test also allows a teacher to test the entire classroom and then give individual scores out to individual students, showing them where they need added instruction for different areas of the science standards.

This test was created by science teachers for science teachers and the team we put together included professors from Stanford and Berkley as well as teachers from more than one district.
