All individual courses are 100% online, have a six month enrollment period, and are approved for PD credit, LAUSD salary points, and Graduate-level PD credit. Learn more about the different credit options below:
PD credit is the broadest form of credit available to teachers. It is widely accepted at most school districts across the U.S. and is a great way for teachers to raise their salary and/or renew their credential.
What is the difference between PD credit and LAUSD salary points? Salary points are the same thing as PD credit, but only count for salary advancement in the LAUSD school district. For every 14 salary points a teacher earns, they move up one bracket on the salary table.
If you are outside of the LAUSD school district, you should choose PD credit or graduate-level PD credit.
Earning graduate-level credits can help you complete a graduate certification or master’s degree, which can dramatically boost not only your annual pay, but also your retirement benefits.
*A note to LAUSD teachers: LAUSD salary points are only good for increasing your standing on the LAUSD salary table; salary points cannot be transferred outside of the school district. For this reason, LAUSD teachers who are considering transferring to another district are encouraged to choose graduate-level PD credit.
