This course is amazing in that it is a one of a kind class that focuses just on K-12 Teachers who are feeling the burnout during the Covid19/Omicron Pandemic and beyond. Although there are a number of professions (such as tuna fishing, air traffic control, oil drilling, lumber hauling, etc) that exhaust workers, there is no profession like the teaching profession where one must know how to be both an educator, a counselor, a shoulder to cry on, a pandemic prevention specialist, and a education professional - all at the same time. Add to this the experience of a pandemic with having kids at home and one's own health to deal with, you find yourself with a recipe for disaster. This course explains how the solution to teacher burnout is very similar to the solution that fighter pilots must acquire when they are experiencing a G-force on their chest. Take this class and preserve your profession. Number of Professional Development Credits Teachers throughout the U.S. can earn 3 graduate-level university credits. Teacher comment: "This class has the power to deliver an educator from toxic stress and ensure that a person's teaching career is not only successful but happy and invigorating! The research outlined in this class on the social brain - is revolutionary! In addition, if teaching in a classroom can be likened to driving a car full of kids, then I feel I've been driving my car without a 4th wheel. This class gave me the 4th wheel I needed (which is the understanding of how to build healthy relationships in and outside of the classroom) to make my teaching experience a smooth ride. Why wasn't this course offered to me before? This course is outstanding and I finally feel I have the missing piece to a successful teaching career! Thank you Education4Equity for creating an online course that revived my teaching passion." (5 Stars)

For each unit, you’ll read a lesson, watch a video, take a quiz, and complete an assignment. Throughout the professional development course, you’ll post your responses in an online discussion forum, for interaction with other teachers who are taking the online course. Reviews Here's what some teachers had to say about how Personalizing Learning impacted their teaching career:  “All of the information was of great value. I found many of the videos very inspiring. There were many examples of best practices, and it makes me believe I can be a better educator. Some of the standouts for me were: Chris Emdin, Sara Lawrence-Lightfoot, Rita Pierson, the school that showed community-based learning, and Dan Meyer’s talk regarding math practices.”  “This course helped me learn a lot about myself as a teacher and how I do not have to be the one that does all the talking and teaching. I need to learn to step back and give my students more control to explore contents of their choice.”  “I am so excited to utilize project-based learning, community-based learning and authentic learning with my kiddos. I know it will be personalized for their needs, motivating and authentic. Thank you for this invaluable course; I feel like I will never teach the same again! It's about relationships with my kiddos first, and content next.” This 3-credit online course for teachers will show you how to deliver personalized instruction for students of all ages.
